The Lamacchia Cares initiative was granted 501(c)(3) recognition and was approved as a charitable foundation by the IRS and Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Summer of 2023. From 2017 until then, Lamacchia Cares was the Company’s charitable giving initiative that supported and raised funds for local causes.
The predominant focus of the initiative was to raise money for Boston Children’s Hospital through their Corporate Cup for which they were the top fundraiser in 2022, second highest fundraiser in 2023, and as well through their annual toy drives. The Company has also fundraised for Habitat for Humanity, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the American Red Cross, and more. In November 2022, Boston Children’s Hospital honored Anthony and the Company’s top fundraisers by presenting them with a $231,000 check. This check symbolized the funds raised for BCH by Lamacchia Cares from 2017 to 2022, alongside a guided tour of the hospital’s recent developments that were made possible through these contributions.
After years of the Lamacchia CARES Initiative supporting local efforts and gaining support from fellow friends, REALTORS, clients, and employees of the Lamacchia Companies, it became abundantly clear that it was time to create a mechanism to collect money through a foundation and properly pay it out to various causes.
Our Mission
The Lamacchia Cares Foundation strives to continually make a positive impact on the people and the communities that we are honored to serve. We aim to support disadvantaged members of the community in the face of catastrophes and life events, and to support the important work of local, state, and national organizations through fundraising efforts. The growth of the Foundation will enable us to reach even more of the people and places that make up the fabric that we call home.
